With each piece, I hope to construct something unique and evocative that reflects the often overlooked moments in everyday life. I am fascinated by the bridges of our city, the wonders of Oregon, and the greenery that sits in our own backyards. Many of my pieces are inspired by the contrast of natural beauty and architectural structures found throughout Portland and the surrounding areas. All of my designs begin as drawings in my home studio and are then texturized, hand-cut, and assembled with great care. I consider each design a work of art as well as a piece of functional jewelry.

Although relatively new to metal-smithing, I have been drawing for over 20 years and painting for 15 years. I was originally trained as a figurative painter at the Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore where I also earned my Masters in Art in Teaching. After living and working in Baltimore for 26 years, I made the move to the gorgeous city of Portland where I have now found my home.

I put a great deal of thought into my work bringing years of experience in color theory, design, composition, and craftsmanship into all that I make. Thank you for your interest, and I hope you enjoy what you see.
